ABOUT ME

‍ ‍

I bring extensive clinical experience and a solution-focused, trauma-informed approach to therapy. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns, and young adult issues. I also specialize in helping individuals heal their relationship with food, body image, and movement.

Having recovered from an eating disorder myself, I integrate both lived experience and specialized clinical training to support individuals pursuing lasting recovery. My work is grounded in the belief that full recovery is possible with compassionate support, consistency, and evidence-based care.

In 1993, I began working with Carolyn Costin, a pioneer and leading expert in the field of eating disorder treatment. Her mentorship and training inspired me to pursue a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and ultimately become licensed as an LMFT in 2000. Shortly thereafter, I launched my private practice on the Westside of Los Angeles before returning to Westlake Village in 2024, the Southern California community where I was raised.

As a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, I also provide professional consultation, clinical supervision, and coaching. In addition to private practice, I supervise associate therapists within an eating disorder treatment center setting and have guest lectured for MFT trainees and PsyD practicum students within the graduate clinical training program at California Lutheran University. I have also presented for local schools and community organizations on eating disorders, body image, and mental health.
